Reiki is a Japanese word which means "Universal Life

Energy".

Mikao Usui was the man who rediscovered this ancient approach to healing in the late 1800's. It was his mission in life to combine Eastern and Western scientific knowledge in order to create a healing system that would be a path to enlightenment.

Everyone is born with Reiki. It is the energy of life itself. It is the energy that emanates from the hand of a Reiki therapist. Reiki helps to open the energy centers in our bodies that are located along the spine. When opened, and aligned, these energy centers allow the life energy in our bodies to flow more freely, which increases the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Hospitals and clinics across America have begun to use Reiki to accelerate the healing process after surgery and to improve mental attitude.
